Just watched this movie on Prime Video. Being a Sundeep Kishan fan, I don’t let go of any of his movies without watching them. Talented actors like P. Ravi Shankar, Kavya Thapar, Brahmaji and the all-time entertainer Vennela Kishore are a fun to watch.
The director, Vi Anand has effectively blended a romantic story with a horror genre. The movie stresses the land grabbing issues of tribals by land sharks. There was a very fair scope to show the dire straits of these tribals. Sadly the movie doesn’t portray it.
The film takes us to Bhairavakona, a small village. Anyone who enters cannot go out of it. I feel the horror sequences didn’t match that of a horror movie. In reality, they appear comic.
Sundeep, as usual, is the protagonist, juggling between his roles of burglar and stuntman. Unfortunately, he has an association with the baddies, who can go to any extent to get their dirty work done.
Sundeep is on the run after stealing the gold ornaments of a bride. Sundeep and his side-kick, Harsha Chemudu enter the village and encounter ghosts. They are accompanied by Kavya, a con-woman.
Do the ghosts steal or restore the gold? Does Sundeep get the love he craves? Whether P. Ravi Shankar accepts Kavya as his daughter? etc., are some mutually asked questions in the movie.
Brahmaji plays a small role as an English language fan and has carried that fantastically. Wish he could’ve got a bigger role, as he never fails to entertain the audience. Sadly, he is in the movie only for 10-15 minutes.
The movie entertains throughout arousing curiosity. Whether Sundeep accidentally comes to Bhairavakona? Or did fate bring him there? Or how P. Ravi Shankar dies? How does his servant ditch him? Or remains grateful for him? Or how Varsha dies accidentally through Sundeep’s hands, etc. To get the answers, you must watch Ooru Peru Bhairavakona.

Other mysterious characters played as Pedamma sends our spine chilling in the beginning. Vadivukkarasi, as Pedamma has delivered a wonderful act with controlled emotions and justified her role.
If you are a Sundeep Kishan fan, you will love the movie. I feel everyone must watch movies for entertainment exclusively. No need to apply logic. Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is a one-time watch. Watch on weekends to kill idle time; if any.
A few movies by Sundeep Kishan are A1 Express, Maayavan and Michael. Most of his fans loved these movies.
