LSG Vs DC IPL 2024 Match: Delhi Capitals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets in match number 26 of IPL 2024 on April 12th. With this victory, Delhi Capitals also made a unique record in its name which wasn’t made by any other team before.

With this victory, Delhi Capitals returned to the winning track. With this victory, Delhi achieved an achievement that no other team had achieved before.

Delhi chased 160 plus or more runs against Lucknow in IPL history. It was also DC’s first win against LSG in IPL history. Delhi, under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, registered its second win of the season.

Earlier, in the IPL match held on 28th March 2022, Gujarat Titans had scored 161/5 in response to Lucknow’s score of 158/6 and won by 5 wickets. On 15th April 2023, Lucknow scored 159/8 against the Punjab Kings. In response, Punjab scored 161/8 and won by 2 wickets.

That means, it is clear that Delhi has become the first team, which chased a score of more than 160 against Lucknow. Lucknow scored 167/7 on 12th April. The target was achieved by Rishabh Pant and his team by 6 wickets with 11 balls remaining.

In the match held on 12th April, the heroes of Delhi Capitals’ victory were ‘Player of the Match’ Kuldeep Yadav and Australian player Jake Fraser-McGurk. Jake, playing his debut IPL match, played an innings of 55 runs in 35 balls. There was a partnership of 77 runs for the third wicket between Jake and captain Rishabh Pant. Pant scored 41 runs in 24 balls, which included four fours and two sixes. Prithvi Shaw also played an inning of 32 runs. Ravi Bishnoi was the most successful bowler from the Lucknow team, who took 2 wickets.

Earlier, after winning the toss and coming to bat first, the Lucknow Giants team scored 167/7. Ayush Badoni played an unbeaten inning of 55 runs for Lucknow. At one time, Lucknow had lost seven wickets for just 94 runs. Captain KL Rahul also made a significant contribution of 39 runs and Quinton De Kock made a valuable contribution of 19 runs. For Delhi, ‘Player of the Match’ Kuldeep Yadav took a maximum of three wickets. Whereas, Khalil Ahmed got two wickets.
